This is a fine modern copy of a 1716 Stradivari violin. It is Joe's 4th instrument, made in 2005-2006. The belly (top) is made of Engelman Spruce, the back, neck and ribs are of European Maple. The back is 2-piece. The varnish is a glossy medium reddish-brown. The tuning is E#/G. The measurements are 30 x 32 x 170 x 113 x 212 x 356 mm. The instrument has a pleasant and balanced tone.
This instrument would be perfect for an advanced student or community orchestra player. It is entirely hand-made by Joe except for the pegs, tailpiece, and fingerboard.
